Lighthouse & Museum

Adults and seniors alike will enjoy an in-depth tour of our tower, museum and grounds. Lead by our knowledgeable docent staff, your group will learn many intricate details concerning our lens, the lives of the keepers and their families and current restoration work.

Approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours in length.

Lighthouses across the United States

Let our docent take you on a trip to lighthouses across the United States. Our educator will share his/her love of lighthouses with your group in a one-hour slide show presentation. The educator will also share his knowledge of lighthouse and lightship history.

Approximately 2 - 2 1/2 hours in length.

Nature by the Sea

Join Gail Compton, Naturalist and Natural History Educator, as she explains the flora and fauna that surrounds the Lighthouse Station. Learn how the keepers and their families lived with the land and how the Lighthouse continues this tradition today. Afterward, climb the tower and see the museum!

Approximately 2 - 2 1/2 hours in length.

We bring the St. Augustine Lighthouse to you!

We will send a museum educator to your facility within a 50-mile radius from St. Augustine Lighthouse. Discover the history of St. Augustine Lighthouse and the technology of the lens. Learn about our maritime archaeology and research team, LAMP, and all about shipwrecks. If desired, a craft can be included.
