From October through May of 2007-08 the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum offers a series of workshops, called "Wildlife Adventures," on the last Saturday of each month. Each workshop is held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and features wildlife of the coastal hammock on the Lighthouse grounds. There is no fee to attend the nature workshops, however, there is an admission fee to visit the lighthouse, grounds and museum.

The workshops are designed for the entire family, grandparents, parents and children, with guided nature walks, informative handouts, and sharing observations. Getting out and observing nature, even in your own backyard, is a marvelous way to share experiences away from our wired world! Subjects like Florida's Owls, Butterfly Gardening, and Snakes and Lizards are designed to stimulate the senses and share first-hand discoveries.
